OUR
MISSION
Animal
Guardians of Brevard
was formed to promote responsible, lifetime pet guardianship through
education, counseling, and accessible, affordable sterilization.
We strive to increase awareness of companion animal overpopulation
and promote or participate in any activities that will improve the
well-being of homeless, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted animals.
|
OUR
VISION
Animal
Guardians of Brevard
exists to see that one day every companion animal born will have the
lifetime, loving home s/he deserves in a world with No
More Homeless Pets.
|
|
The primary
focus of Animal Guardians of
Brevard is to promote and provide Spaying and Neutering
for cats and dogs, and we
have arranged and funded sterilization of
nearly 6000 animals. PLEASE
HELP US CONTINUE
THIS WORK and donate
today.
PLEASE HELP US
CONTINUE TO SAVE LIVES !!!
We
were the first, and are one of the ONLY, programs in Brevard
whose primary mission is to provide financial assistance for
eligible pet guardians to get their pets sterilized. YOU CAN SAVE LIVES THROUGH US WITH A DONATION.
998% of our contributions go DIRECTLY to fund this
work. PLEASE make a donation today by contacting
us, or through safe, secure

PLEASE NOTE:
Animal Guardians of Brevard
is NOT a
shelter and we do not have animals directly in our care. Therefore we
cannot accept any animals. We also cannot find new homes for animals
unless they are already in shelters.
We support progressive efforts to
humanely manage all the animals discarded or abandoned in our county and the
nation. We support proactive measures taken by all area shelters and
rescues to mitigate the problem by promoting sterilization, increasing
adoptions, decreasing euthanasia, and moving our county toward NO
KILL.
The Brevard County-run Animal Care and
Adoption Centers (South-SACC,
North-NACC)
are Brevard's largest shelters and are open-admission (kill) shelters, accepting any animal, from any source, for any
reason, at any time. They
are always very overcrowded with healthy, friendly cats and dogs in
desperate need of safe, loving homes.
PLEASE open your heart and your home to an animal in
dire need. Save a life.

AN URGENT PLEA:
PLEASE FOSTER NEEDY ANIMALS
All local shelters always needs foster caregivers for dogs and cats.
TO HELP SAVE LIVES, please visit
the SPCA of
North Brevard, or SACC or NACC to complete a foster application and get more details. |
|
This
mother cat
got lucky and someone fostered her and her tiny babies until they could find
homes. But afterward, mothers often do not find forever homes
of their own. They are frequently nearly
babies themselves. Many mothers with tiny kittens,
orphan kittens and puppies too small to survive, and other cats and dogs are in desperate need
of foster care and permanent homes. Please
give them a chance. Be a foster caregiver.

no longer able to provide assistance besides the "Fix A
Kitty" program with the SPCA and BSNC, and occasional special event
clinics. Please check back here for information.
Donations are always welcome and will allow us to resume
assistance sooner and sponsor larger clinics. Thank you for your understanding.

APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED.
Please click here or contact
us for more information.
PLEASE NOTE:
We do NOT spay and neuter pets purchased from pet
stores or breeders, or adopted from
rescue organizations for an adoption fee. If you cannot afford the cost
of sterilization and necessary shots in addition to the price or adoption fee, then
please adopt from a responsible organization where it is all
included. Generally the fee is no higher and the animals are just
as wonderful!

Every time disaster strikes, people rush to adopt displaced pets. While
this is a very generous gesture, PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT
SWEET, BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY ANIMALS IN BREVARD DIE FOR LACK
OF HOMES EVERY DAY whether there has been a disaster or not. IF
YOU HAVE A HOME FOR A DISASTER PET, SURELY YOU HAVE ONE FOR A LOCAL PET WHOSE
LIFE IS JUST AS VALUABLE. Read Buddy's

Animal
Guardians of Brevard is honored to be the recipient of a
generous donation from the estate of Ranada
Pedersen. Ranada
was a true lover of homeless cats and a long-time supporter of Animal
Guardians. Her final gift
will be used to sterilize some of the stray cats for whom she cared so
much.
We extend our deepest sympathy to those who knew and cared for this
thoughtful lady. In her
memory, many lives will be saved and the birth and suffering of hundreds
of homeless, abandoned, and unwanted cats will be prevented.
We are honored to be entrusted with this gift.
Animal
Guardians of Brevard is honored to be the recipient of a very
generous donation from the estate of Mr.
William Townsend.
Mr. Townsend’s final gift will save the lives and prevent the
birth and suffering of thousands of homeless, abandoned, and unwanted
animals. Mr.
Townsend was a devoted animal lover throughout his life.
In his later years he could not have pets, Instead, he gave
generously of his time and love to Brevard’s less fortunate dogs and
cats as a volunteer at his local animal shelter.
We
extend our deepest sympathy to those who knew and cared for this
thoughtful gentleman.
Such kindness makes the world a better place for everyone,
especially the animals for whom Mr. Townsend cared so much.
